RAUMPROBE

Showroom Stuttgart

With its physical materials exhibition and digital materials database, the raumprobe materials agency has prepared a comprehensive collection of materials and their applications in architecture and design from all around the world.
The agency mediates materials, knowledge and contacts. A wide range of marketing formats connects planners and creatives with materials manufacturers from the worlds of industry and crafts. raumprobe’s materials database and materials exhibition featuring over 50,000 curated materials samples are relevant research tools for design and the daily work practiced by designers.

Founded in Stuttgart in 2005, Europe’s largest materials exhibition presents itself in a former industrial hall with over 1,200 m² of floorspace. raumprobe has also overhauled its digital presence. Featuring faster orientation with larger pictures and well-founded magazine reports covering the whole world of materials, the www.raumprobe.com website allows visitors to conduct focused, intuitive research of the more than 10,000 products presented on the materials database. Acclaimed planning offices, design studios and universities from the German-speaking world use the curated selection of relevant materials from leading companies each and every day.

The foundation of the Materialakademie and its numerous event formats (day seminars, evening events, etc.) is raumprobe’s response to the great demand for communication and educational measures. In addition, the materials exhibition provides access to event and presentation spaces that can be adapted to users’ needs in a variety of ways. This service provider uses trade fair appearances, special shows and workshops as external platforms for passing on its materials expertise.

The annual materials report bundles material and architectural innovations, trends and knowledge in a compact, inspirational way. Since 2013, the distinguished material prize has taken up these ideas, highlighting outstanding materials and architecture featuring special material applications every other year. This perspective enables the material prize to evaluate innovations throughout the entire value chain.
